Donate to us

Chinese Artists in America Network (CAAN) is a fiscally sponsored organization of Fractured Atlas, a 501(c)(3) charity. Contributions made payable to Fractured Atlas for the purposes of CAAN are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

WHO WE ARE

CAAN is dedicated to promoting the voices and expressions of the Chinese expat artists in the United States, and helping them form an effective network for opportunities and equality. Although the number of Chinese students has been increasing at an accelerated rate among international students in North America, those who practice studio/theoretical art remain relatively few and marginalized. In a milieu where the social neglection makes it hard to allocate necessary resources to these young talents, we aim to establish an artist-run organization to support the artists and their unique talents. We want to help them get more opportunities, establish communities and make more friends.

Thank you for helping CAAN artists!

Join us in building a community where Chinese young artists can get more exposures and support each other. With your partnership and support, we can create more events that bring people together and engage with culture and audiences. We look forward to seeing you at this year’s events!

  • Why Fractured Atlas?
Fractured Atlas is a nationally recognized service organization benefiting the needs of arts groups as well as individual artists in all disciplines. Founded in 1998, their fiscal sponsorship will allow CAAN to receive tax-deductible donations through individuals, grants, and crowdfunding campaigns. All monetary donations to CAAN through Fractured Atlas, where no goods or services have been exchanged, are fully tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Fractured Atlas assesses a 8% administrative fee on all donations. This fee covers all administrative costs—including website maintenance, credit card processing, staff time, and bank fees. It’s completely up to you whether or not you’d like to cover the fee. If you choose not to, it will be subtracted from Chinese Artists in America Network's revenue.
  • Can I donate Online?
Yes! The Fractured Atlas website can accept online donations by credit card through this link. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Fractured Atlas does not assess any additional fee to cover the credit card processing expense.
  • What About Donations Of Services?
We would strongly value any contributions of services toward our organization, from those willing to donate their time, talents, and efforts. Please be aware, however, that such donations of services (such as pro-bono accounting/legal help) are considered in-kind donations by Fractured Atlas. These donations are undoubtedly valuable, but they are not tax deductible under the law, so Fractured Atlas cannot issue receipts for them.
  • What is the donation process?
We use Fundraise which is an online fundraising platform. Your donation will be directed to our page on Fundraise and all payment will be processed on Fundraise.
  • Is my donation tax-deductible?
